About the Coach

Coach BJ Herndon has went from zero running or physical activity, to occasional running with the wrong mindset (and hating every minute of it), to now running for competition and the simple joy of moving through nature. The difference? Learning how to train and run with a long-term approach instead of making every run feel like you’ll barely survive.

He has found success at race distances from 5K’s to half marathons and 25K’s and is now training for a 50 mile trail race where he hopes to be competitive against the best distance runners in Arkansas.

Running has made such a positive impact on his life that he would love to pass it along to others. Through his research and own experiences, Coach BJ can help you find how to enjoy and find success in running.

Whether you need guidance, instruction, motivation, or a push in the right direction, we will work with you to help your dreams become reality. Along the way, your coach will monitor your progress to make adjustments as needed to guarantee you are consistently improving.

We will start with a consultation to get to know you and see where you want to go. Then, your coach will create a training plan to help you start moving in that direction. You will have weekly check-ins to see what is working and what isn’t. It is important that you stay optimistic about your training, so your input is highly valued. Your coach will be available to answer any questions along the way and will provide you with encouragement to stay the course, no matter what obstacles you may face.
